Getting teachers more involved in edtech
MediaCore is thrilled to be supporting ed-invent, a unique program in the UK that is aiming to get teachers more involved in developing educational technology products and services. Organized by OCR and MediaTaylor, it’s a series of one-day free workshops followed by two intensive pre-incubator programs for educators.
MediaCore is providing a free site for ed-invent to host their videos and other media. Here’s one of their first video interviews with Paul Hudson, teacher and co-founder of NightZookeeper.
The importance of teacher involvement
We regularly speak to a wide range of educators to get their ideas and feedback for how the service should develop. Many of the features that are part of MediaCore have come about through their suggestions. For example, our recent EduBlogs plugin was initially suggested by Brian Lockwood of Nanjing International School. It’s because of this that we feel teachers should get involved in shaping edtech products and services.
